Item Code:
d = wire diameter
De = outside diameter
Dm = mean coil diameter (De-d)
Lo = free length
L1 = loaded length (minimum working length)
P1 = load at L1
P/f = rate
f = L0 - L1 = deflection in mm
1 Newton 0,10197 Kg.

To determine the load at any working length use rate x proposed deflection.
To calculate the solid height of a ground compression springs, use total coil x wire diameter where total coils equals active coils + 2.
To calculate the solid height of an unground compression springs, use total coil x wire diameter where total coils equals active coils +3.
P1 for stainless steel = 0.883 x P1 music wire.
